Founded by like-minded friends from an international law firm, Terra Law LLC is a Singapore-based law corporation that subscribes to the philosophy that quality legal work and practical commercial solutions go hand-in-hand to serve the best interests of clients.

Our practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters over a wide spectrum of work from corporate and commercial advisory and transactional work, to disputes resolution and alternative dispute resolution. The areas of law that we handle are diverse and include conveyancing and collective sales, construction, company and shareholders’ matters, shipping and admiralty, employment, insurance, trust, wills and probate, and regulatory offences and investigations.

In this regard, our team has advised and represented government agencies, professional and regulatory bodies, SMEs, MNCs, listed companies, developers and contractors, and high net worth individuals in various matters in Singapore as well as cross border transactions.
 

“Terra” is derived from the Latin term which means earth or land. Having a sustainable practice is one of our core beliefs, whether it be sustainability in relation to the environment, our clients or our people.

We believe in social responsibility and ESG plays a big part in our business. We integrate sustainability factors into our legal practice. Our office is situated in a building awarded with the Green Mark Platinum Certification, with environmentally friendly and resource-efficient measures incorporated. These include the installation of energy efficient water-cooled chilled-water plant and 100% EC plug fan FCUs with air distribution efficiency. Our office itself uses energy efficient LED lighting and our data is securely stored in the cloud, doing away with conventional servers. We use technology as a multiplier to assist us in our practice, including over finance and human resource functions. We are paper-lite or paperless, where possible. In our little ways, we are reducing our carbon footprint.

We believe in a sustainable practice in relation to our clients. We invest time to better understand our clients’ businesses and build long term relationships. We provide honest and frank opinions to our clients. We provide out of the box solutions and are firm advocates of alternative dispute resolution processes, including adjudication, mediation and neutral evaluation. We are trusted advisors to our clients, many of whom have become friends.
